Local shops are good in Alqueria Blanca including two bakers, a small supermarket with butcher, newspaper shop/general store, ironmonger, two banks and a gift and interiors shop. Santanyi has smaller food shops open daily. Porto Petro also has a couple of small supermarkets - all have a good selection of wines.

Large supermarket, Eroski, in Cala d'Or and Santanyi. Many of the main supermarkets are open all day 8am - 8pm, and in the villages from 8am - 1.30pm & 5pm - 8pm.

Local market on Tuesday in Alqueria Blanca features fruit and vegetables, fish, roast chicken spit, cheese and salamis, olives, clothes, shoes and flowers. Plus there is a small organic food outlet just outside of the village.

Great market on Wednesday and Saturday in Santanyi, featuring fruit and veg, plus flowers, clothes, jewellery and gifts.

Good dress and shoe shops in Cala d'Or, plus a selection of stylish boutiques in Santanyi as well as in Porto Petro, open from 10am-1.30pm and 5pm-8pm.

Palma, 45 minutes drive, has a huge selection of shops of course.
