What they say

We so enjoyed our stay at Es Pins. What a beautiful place it was to relax for a week - we had really good weather and so enjoyed the space and its landscape. Editha and Alex looked after us wonderfully and Harvey was a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended!

I’m reluctant to leave a review, as this is such a wonderful, special place I want to keep it to myself! It’s a really lovely house, with characterful and spacious rooms, and the pool are garden are exceptional. We were there in August, and it was still green and full of flowers and fruits, and I imagine it must be lovely in Spring. Harvey was a great host, happy to answer (my many!) questions and very helpful. While Edita and her husband were lovely people, extremely helpful and kind, but also very tactful and respectful of our privacy. We had a magical time.

Es Pins is just the most magical place to stay. A real home, with an amazing atmosphere, filled with gorgeous original elements combined with great art, ceramics , it’s all so relaxed and inviting. The outside space is breathtaking with a huge azure blue pool, majestic palm trees and so many places to eat, or relax or sunbathe, or wander about, every corner revealing another perfect view. And each bedroom with an outside area to have breakfast or drinks and look at the sea or the church…

Impressions of our recent visit to Es Pins: October 15th 2022, Es Pins, St. Alqueria Blanca We had such balmy warmth With deep dew, yielding a landscape in rich colour The pomegranates bursting their ruddy skins And falls of pink, those generous trumpeting flowers Cascading from the pergola, nightly, daily Joyous still We drank it in. A house full of treasures, Wooden sculpture, ceramic surprises and views Painting, prints in the shadows pleasing the eye Kitchen cupboards spilling rustic bowls Their generosity filled with our cooking-up Joyous daily Feasting around the table.

Letters to Harvey (originals available)

Dear Harvey

We had such a wonderful holiday at your house. C'an Bassa Coll has a happy and welcoming spirit about it. The whole place is so well thought out and beautifully planned. I loved all the little extra touches from the rack full of straw hats and the wonderful bowl of lemons to the complimentary wine (thank you).

The view from the terrace is stunning and well framed by the palms - the little black gate in the wall gives an invitation to walk beyond the garden.

I cannot recommend the house highly enough - I was very sad to leave.

Thank you for providing such a delightful retreat. It was a privilege to stay there and I'm so glad I found your website - all was as promised.

With best wishes

Dear Harvey

I've been meaning to drop you a line for weeks - not sure what happened to June. I just wanted to say what an absolutely wonderful week we had at Es Pins - and thank you for all your help with the arrangements and for building such a stunning villa!

We loved the homely and spacious character of the house and the beautifully landscaped gardens. You seem to have thought of the every need of your guests - which is no mean feat - and we felt so at home that we couldn't really summon up the energy to go on excursions, except to pick up our fresh bread each morning! It was also great to be somewhere so child friendly - my nephews were in their element with so much space, and with the lovely Editha to give them cuddles.

One week wasn't nearly long enough. We're already planning our return trip..... !

Many, many thanks.

Very best wishes

Six years ago we stayed at your lovely Es Pins for a fortnight, and although we have returned to the island several times, nothing compares with it. Should you still let it to careful people we would love to come again.

I am writing on behalf of my whole family to let you know how delighted we were with our recent visit to C'an Bassa Col. To find the lovely finca behind those big gates was exciting enough but we all gasped at the beautiful view as we opened the doors from the kitchen to the terrace. We could hardly believe that view was to be ours for a whole week!

Editha was charming and very helpful and, when our children asked her to prepare a meal for my husband's birthday evening, she brought us the most delicious paella.

This was a special holiday for us all, as it was the first time we had all been able to spend time together since our granddaughter was born. We were anxious that our daughter and son-in-law might not be able to join us from the States due to the terrible events there, but they managed to get one of the first flights out and so were able to join us only a day late. We were so glad to be all together in your wonderful house. Thank you...
